2. I am not affiliated with nor getting money from any of the above sellers! This is my honest opinion.
3. And the most important: Just because something works for my hair, does not mean it will work for you! These are suggestions for products ONLY! Your hair type may need something different!
- Shampoo (SLS free!) Nature's Gate Lemongrass and Clary Sage Shampoo (very non drying and smells wonderful) http://natures-gate.com/Shop/item?Product=41200021&category=235&WithLinks=1 also organic stores
- Coney Conditioner: Pantene Ice Shine conditioner (there is alot of debate about cones amoungst long hairs. A coney conditioner means that under the ingredients list you will find things ending in -cone, i.e. dimethicone. People who have damaged hair or are very prone to tangles sometimes (or all the time) need a coney conditioner to add slip to help get a brush through). Walmart, CVS
- Non Coney Conditioner: HeartJCreations Aloe Vera Conditioner (comes in 50 different scents!) https://www.etsy.com/listing/62649549/aloe-conditioner-u-choose-scent-you-wish?ref=shop_home_active_8
- Clarifying Shampoo: Neutrogena Clarifying Shampoo (this will make your hair feel like straw immediately afterwards, but a great deep conditioning treatment will take care of that. This works VERY well to get your build up out. However, do NOT use it every time you wash! Only once in a while, as needed!) Walmart, CVS
- Protein Treatment: Babyface Pure Protein (I use this once a month. One bottle lasts over 6 months). http://www.amazon.com/BABYFACE-Treatment-Collagen-Professional-Conditioner/dp/B003Q33LJ0
- Deep Treatment: SMT (Snowy's Moisture Treatment) Take 1 part aloe vera gel (clear) and 1 part honey and microwave for 15 seconds. Mix in 4 parts conditioner. Add to hair, cover with a shower cap, and let sit for as long as you can. Rinse out well!
- Leave In Conditioner on Dry Hair: Nightblooming's Panacea (I use Freya's salve, but they all work at all times of the year and are more or less the same. This stuff has been known to work minor hair miracles!) https://www.etsy.com/shop/NightBlooming?section_id=12807124&ref=shopsection_leftnav_1
- Leave In Conditioner on Wet Hair: Nightblooming's Triple Moon Oil (You only need a small amount! I use one drop!) https://www.etsy.com/listing/101588405/triple-moon-hair-anointing-oil-12oz?ref=shop_home_active_9
- Coconut Oil: Spectrum Organic Extra Virgin Coconut Oil (Use any brand you like. I use this as a prewash treatment 8-12 hours before washing my hair. Only apply to ends, like from your ears down! Your scalp and head hair get enough oil!)
- Brush: Tangle Teezer (This can easily be found at Sally Beauty Supply. It will not rip your hair out and is an excellent brush!)
- Hair elastics: Ribbon bands only! (These can be found in most stores nowadays).
- Bobby pins: Sally's only! (Regular cheaper bobby pins tend to bend and lose their shape quickly!)
- Hair Rinse: Aloe vera hair rinse (Very easy to make and use!) http://www.food.com/recipe/aloe-vera-hair-rinse-319579
